Archana Sinha
Archana Sinha was born in Kolkata and completed her Science graduation from Kolkata University. She did her Post Graduation from Mumbai and Bachelor of Education from Chennai. During her schooling & college days she not only excelled in the field of education but did active participation in Dance, Debate, Recitation, Extempore, Mime and various Sports. She was a NCC cadet and certificate holder in Civil Defence. She started learning Kathak from the age of 10 and completed her Diploma in Kathak from Prayag Sangeet Samiti Allahabad. She continued to polish her skills in Kathak under various Gurus who were awarded Padmashree in their field. As continued passion Archana secured diploma in Kuchipudi too and polished her skill by associating with Mr. Prabeer Dutta in India.
Archana Joined DPS greater Noida in the initial stage of her career and moved to Dubai in 2003, Qatar in 2013, Kuwait in 2016 and throughout been associated with DPS across all countries. She managed the position of HO-Dance and under her choreography supervision, all schools secured many prizes in Inter & Intra school competitions. To spread the culture of dance among young learners she formed Ghungroo Kathak Academy teaching Kathak to 40 students between age group ranging from 7 to 50 years. The challenge of COVID did not stop her from moving to online Kathak and students across USA, Canada, Kuwait, Qatar, Dubai and India are now learning Kathak online. She is passionate about dance and believes in spreading this it as culture, believing this connects directly to soul and inculcates a love among learners towards our culture.
